Role Overview The Senior Director, Engineering and Product Management provides leadership and strategic direction to the product owners and the engineering teams associated with the tms product portfolio. This position is primarily responsible for the short and long-range planning and optimizing product management and engineering execution within development, production, and commercialization areas of the various products in the portfolio. The primary focus of this role is to set the vision and enable the teams to deliver solutions that drive efficiency and competitive advantage to the business community by collaborating and partnering with other product, architecture and operations teams within tms/HAVI.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Provide leadership and strategic direction in the architecture, design and development of processes and tools across multiple products and platforms in the tms portfolio
• Work with the technology leadership team to deliver enterprise-wide technology solutions and support the overall technology and business strategy
• Provide effective leadership, coaching and management to ensure the product engineering teams evolve in alignment with technology leadership, business and customer expectations • Owner of the product development pipeline and influence the Stage-Gate new product development process
• Contributes to strategic technological planning by prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinate the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies to meet the needs of a competitive, growing business
• Partner with major vendors and service providers to ensure they meet the needs of the organization
• Transform the product development teams through the implementation of Agile methodologies to measure and regularly report on Key Performance Indicators and Metrics
• Consults with and advises peers and senior business leaders how to effectively utilize technology solutions to meet current and future commercial needs of the organization in an efficient, sustainable, agile, and adaptable manner
• Work with other IT leaders to best utilize solutions to support business objectives and drive efficiencies
• Learning on the job and exploring new technologies. Leading and encouraging team towards this constant learning mindset
• Drive a supportive and collaborative working climate that results in a highly engaged workforce that is results-focused with a positive and team-oriented attitude
