Alongside award-winning promotional agency services, The Marketing Store delivers global category management services to our biggest client - McDonald’s. More specifically to the McDonald’s Happy Meal product business.  HAVI Sourcing provides similar category management services to McDonald’s, among other clients, for consumer-facing packaging, uniforms and health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

 

The Engineer RFID/Connected Specialist role is to provide technical guidance and serve as the principal RFID specialists to guide design, development, implementation, and sustainment of the RFID program.  He/she will be the liaison between tms RFID implementation group and a variety of stakeholders, to translate requirements into design of experiments to define and recommend RFID tagging solutions, and wireless location-based infrastructure.  He/she will lead ongoing need to explore and implement new ways to maintain, enhance, and refresh existing systems, as well as to maintain, develop and deploy new technical solutions to improve implementation and maintenance of RFID in the Packaging Category. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead RFID identification and specification(s) development to meet and exceed performance and quality in multiple use cases/environments.
  • Lead the research, analysis, solution design and implementation planning of RFID solutions
  • Assist in value chain mapping and supply chain strategy for RFID labels (inlay, labels, converters, locations, etc.)
  • Establish supply chain focused plan and strategy for governance and compliance model to ensure tags meets program requirements
  • Partner with the deployment team to understand equipment requirement needs based on manufacturing process and develop testing to understand best placement of tag.
  • Drive and research future or emerging innovations in RFID and connected technologies, etc.
  • Support playbook for supply chain partners
  • Lead ongoing need to explore and implement new ways to maintain, enhance, and refresh existing systems, as well as to maintain, develop and deploy new technical solutions to improve implementation and maintenance of RFID

 

Desired Skills & Experience

ABOUT YOU

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • Subject-Matter-Expert level experience with RFID and a proven track record of delivering highly complex RFID architecture designs.
  • Experience in business case and technical implementation of radio frequency identification technology in retail, supply chain and manufacturing settings
  • Knowledge and/or experience of real-time location-based services / radio frequency (RF)
  • Practice with performance analysis, incident, and problem resolution
  • Experience leading or managing projects, teams, and vendors. Able to communicate with and support teammates, customers, and suppliers in a professional manner
  • Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving
  • Hardware familiarization (Zebra, Impinj)
  • Experience with tools (i.e. AITIMS, Zebra System Builder, Impinj Item Test,) and/or industry equivalents
  • Experience with the corrugate industry, food manufacturing and/or packaging
  • Understanding of GS1 serialization
  • Experience with supply chain management/ implementation a plus
  • S. Undergraduate degree in engineering, business, or data science/analytics focused on RFID/connected technologies
  • 1-2 years of experience preferred  
  • 30-40% Travel
